boxhouse dissects degrassi: drinking game for season nine premiere

  • you don’t give a fuck about a new character
  • peter says/sings/screams “shared custody”
  • any character sings or plays an instrument
  • chantay black and bruce the moose are still inexplicably on the show despite never having a storyline
  • peter does something that craig has already done
  • connor’s aspergers is hilarious
  • someone says: “…or whatever”
  • someone says “niners”
  • the writers are clearly struggling to find a creative way to keep emma/spinner/manny etc. on the show
  • the writers explain a character’s absence with something completely implausible or uncharacteristic
  • the writers don’t explain a character’s absence at all
  • it gets real

This is too good. I would pass out after two seconds.

I had no idea Degrassi was still going. I stopped watching after that first season where they started putting like two INSANE MAJOR CRAZY moments in each episode. Forgot how long ago that was. I just remember by the end of the season everyone was pregnant/on drugs/suddenly stricken with cancer/dead.
